The best time to visit India is definitely during the winter, from November to February, when temperatures are pleasant and rainfall is low.
However, it's important to note that this is also the high season in India. If you want to have a better connection with the local culture and enjoy temples, parks, and restaurants with fewer tourists, I recommend visiting in February and March. The weather is still beautiful and it's not too hot.
I personally visited India during this time and it was great. Nights can still be quite chilly in some places, such as in Rajasthan. So, make sure to bring warm clothing like a windbreaker and a sweatshirt to fully enjoy this beautiful and large country.
